Mission of Mercy in Flint Delivers Over $1.2 Million in Donated Dental Care

The MDA Foundation is proud to announce the successful completion of its latest Mission of Mercy event, held in Kalamazoo, Mich. This year’s event exceeded the total value of donated care from the 2024, reaching an impressive $1,246,388.20. This figure represents a 7.8% increase over the 2024 event, reflecting the growing support and dedication from volunteers and sponsors.

Over the course of the event, a total of 771 patients received much-needed dental care, with 708 of these patients residing in Michigan. The commitment to serving the local community was evident, as patients benefited from an average of 7.34 procedures each. In total, the event saw the completion of 5,656 procedures, ranging from cleanings and fillings to extractions and root canals.

The MDA Foundation’s Mission of Mercy events aim to provide free dental care to underserved populations, addressing immediate oral health needs and raising awareness about the importance of dental care. The Flint event was made possible through the collaboration of hundreds of dental professionals and volunteers who generously donated their time and expertise.
